Days end

Days end

Dark days speak a promise of lonely nights,
Friendly but has no friends,
The chill of the sadness bites,
A broken heart seems likely to never mend.

Tears flow as jealousy spreads,
Of the relationship she will never claim hers,
Confidence long dead,
Condemned by anxiety’s curse.

Can she fight the demons of her own creation?
Will she ever live again?
A lost cause to her own devastation.
She can’t break the chain,
