Lost

I am numb 
Lost in my mind
I am done
Darkness whispers carried through wind 

How can I feel so much but so little
The confines of my my cages shatter
The bars which hold me are weak and brittle
Do I even matter

If I was gone today would they notice
If I ceased to exist 
Am I the cause of this
Hanging over them like a darkness

Or would they search for me
Only to find me at peace 
Letting loose a scream of a harrowing degree
I have finally began to cease
