Poem -

Dead

She shouldve asked
it happened too fast
let me take you back to the past
she was an outcast
she was being harrased
Her personality was a complete contrast
to others she was a bore
she stood against the door
listening, wanting to know
what she was fighting for
she wanted to end the war
but she had no mentor
alone dhe would explore
trying to ignore
it wasnt worth it anymore
with no one to adore
And broken glass was what she wore
after being called a whore
she cried, lying on the floor
listening as it started to pour
as the old man began to snore
in the war, she lost her valour
there was no way to restore
so she walked along the shore
as the waves crashed and fought
her legs tired and she sat and thought
she didnt know what she forgot she wasnt far from the onslaught
the enemy was close, within earshot
in horror she looked distraught
she closed her eyes tight
then the birds flew away
after they heard the echo
of a gunshot
