Poem -

Dead of Night

In the dead of night
Under a bright moonlight
You crawled into my bed
Got inside my head

Made sweet love slow
Basking in your afterglow
You vanished
With the morning dew
My paranoia grew.

Was this starless night
Your goodbye rite.
The last kiss on my breast
Laying me to a final rest.
Left naked on loves stains
Drained by passions chains.

Would you ever return
Or would my heart
Simply burn
Only remembering
My deepest yearning.

In the dead of night
You came again
Staying till first light
You were my cocaine
And the night
Your domain.
