DEADLY THOUGHTS

I often feel I want to kill myself
And end my time on Earth
I was never consulted or given a choice 
In the matter of my birth.

There's the irony that people would prefer I suffer
And continue with something I do not like.
To kill myself would cause much pain I'm sure
But I'm not suited to living life.

To end one's life might be seen
As disrepectful to everyone else.
Though perhaps it could be seen as a noble act 
In life, age kills by stealth.

I look around the places with which I'm associated
And often think- or tend to feel-
That these people would be no worse- and perhaps better off-
If I quit life and ceased to be.
