Poem -

DEAR GOD

Now the day is over

And I am still alive

Can't say the same for Georgie

Last night the streets took him and Clive

What is this world coming to

People in the hood don't give a damn what they do

Living in Brick City is no game

Got to keep your eyes on tinted windows

Might just have a bullet with your name

Those living in the suburbs

With their white picket fence

Paying thousands to their physiatrist

While I don't have a damn cent

Begging and scraping to make ends meet

Sleeping in abandon houses

Where the stench is better than the streets

That's not the way it was supposed to be

Not for me, Clive or Georgie

But there are millions of people

In the world like me

Fighting for survival living in the streets.
