Dear September

Dear September

Dear September,
This letter is long overdue.
Our love is now a mere ember,
But I admit, I miss you.
It's been a rough few years,
I miss your soothing words.
Now, my shirts are drenched in tears,
As I'm circled by dead blackbirds.
I miss the warm feeling you gave me,
And how calm you made me feel.
Now, I don't know what to be,
And I'm questioning if this is real.
I miss the simpler times,
All those carefree hours.
Now, I cement my blinds.
Don't forget to pick red flowers,
And lay them down above me.
Your's sincerely,
D'angelo Porter.

The imagery in this is stunning. Beautiful, but sad.
