Death Awaits Us

My life is but a bit of luxury, a morsel of delight
And when I find the end is near, the mercy I can not hide
Death awaits us, in every branch of life, it is instilled by the mortals of time
It happens when we least expect it, it will come in rage and torment
Hear it in your sleep, let it know no peace, for you will be the one it takes
The violence of shame, the quiet of the lamb, and the blood will be covered
By the sin of mankind, and we will find Apocalypse of time and no one will rest
Upon the dagger of death and the demon of our filth will now be the ruler
For we have failed in our duties, our righteous path of salvation has sinned
And now the world is in flames, and will be gone in minutes to count
Let death await us and be gone for the wrong things we are to blame

This is a great poem. the following lines spoke to me:
"My life is but a bit of luxury, a morsel of delight"
"Hear it in your sleep, let it know no peace, for you will be the one it takes"
"Upon the dagger of death and the demon of our filth will now be the ruler"
"Let death await us and be gone for the wrong things we are to blame"
Thank You Glenn!
Glad you appreciate what I write, it is sometimes a wonder, whether it is good or not??
