Destiny

Sun filled days, dark misty nights, the stars long to glow

Never to know what the heavens must be, until it is time for destiny

Awaiting love, awaiting time, the gift, the promise, will we ever know?

The time has come for the world to end, it has been tainted by human hands

Blackened skies, the fire arise, the mass of eruptive blasts, the punishing gas

What causes us to end our own life, is it greed, controlling power, the harass

Of leadership, the political gain, the masterminds taking over, and going insane

Is it destiny? to end this way, to claim our own lives, is it the sacrifice, the strife, the right?

Or is it just destiny, that we leave this earth and find another place, another time, in space?
