You destroyed a huge part of her
Left her to live, when she wanted to die
And the worst part, her parents knew
But turned a blind eye
She tried to live in spite of you
She tried to take back her power
But sometimes the pain, the fear
Still made her hide and cower
She hated what you did to her
The inflicted pain she's left to bear
She can't trust, can't love or be loved
She can't even go there
Tell me; How do you live with yourself
How do you live in your own skin?

Knowing you harmed an innocent child
Knowing the destruction you played a part in
She wanted so badly, to rise above
To live and thrive in spite of
More than anything in the whole world
She wanted to feel and know of love
She couldn't, though she really tried
She felt destroyed somewhere inside
Though her heart was beating and longing for love
Her trust no longer trusted, but shattered and died
