Disappearance

Now the darkness reels me back
I sag my head in bitter defeat
For the light has been extinguished
And I am rendered helpless
The dark tendrils of black surround me
As the light fades away
So does my hope
I reach out slowly for one more chance
At life
At love
At happiness

Just to be slapped
My hand sinking back into the cold darkness
Along with the rest of me
Now I am but a lifeless shell
Floating in a dark and lonely abyss

The evil hatred and sorrow eating away at my very soul
The pain cracking my already broken heart
My hollow chest takes its last beat
And I fade away to nothing
