DISPERSION

Gravitation pulls the wool over my eyes
As the sky above prepares her disguise
An ominous breeze cautions my senses....
Every muscle tenses...
I'm losing consciousness...
My body then begins to rise
And I'm drawn upward...
Toward the skies.
Nothing to grasp
Nothing to ground me
Nothing to let go...
Apart from gravity.
Minutes....hours.....maybe days.
Pass me by, as I float away...
Clarity struggles to clear the haze
As I try to fathom
This star studded maze.
Outer space
A solemn place
And I keep drifting on
At a constant pace
How much further?
Where am I going?
These questions seem pointless
As I'm constantly flowing...
I can almost no longer feel my physical side
As numbness sets in...
I'm no longer alive
Serenity has now found a new place to hide
My thoughts have transcended
From a body that's died...
What is left of me ...
Is a content trust
And my soul becomes one
With the universe....
