Do You Deserve What You Get?

Do You Deserve What You Get?

If you're rich, you worked for it or you're lucky,
are you in charge of you're destiny, yes it seems to me,
health is the key - without it, everything falls away,
so many doors open and close, choice so they say.

You could have stayed where you were, not cross the road,
but you did, people ask me - 'Why did you take on the load?'
It's not just you, it's the others too, they had to change,
their lives, their destiny, being responsible was strange.

Strange because you were not God - not just your power,
but as it turned out, managed to leave a crushed flower;
now looking back, what would you change, another door?
Or carry on the same way exactly as you did before?

Probably the same - it was my level, not yours,
so stop showing me pictures of all those old doors.
