Doll face
Society is killing its own childrenÂ
Like placing nooses around their necksÂ
Humanity torturing its younger brethren Â
and writing unreasonable chequesÂ
Little girls who deny perfectionÂ
eventually grow used to rejectionÂ
See, a doll face is for your own protectionÂ
And society wishes for a whole collectionÂ
The trick is to make them insecureÂ
Tricking and lying until one’s voice is soreÂ
To point out their flaws from an early ageÂ
Once she hates her face we’re on the same page
The quicker they learn, the better
And if she begs daddy for a surgery, let her
Little girls pumped with siliconeÂ
Doctors drawing lines on her cheekboneÂ
Looking all fully grown
Little girls pointing at their shiny selfies
“Make me look like this, please”
Line after line
Stitch after stitchÂ
Stay still, try not to twitchÂ
I’m nearly done with your redesignÂ
I want to make you divine
so have patience, little witchÂ
Smooth skin made of porcelain
Glossy giant-size baby eyes Â
Bony hips and plump cherry lipsÂ
and forcing feet into shoes that don’t fitÂ
and mothers playing dress-up with their favorite little doll
ever since they first learnt how to crawlÂ
So innocently tearing each other apartÂ
So nonchalantly crushing one’s own heart Â
The World sure could use a restart!
Before the little girls go insaneÂ
Realizing a doll face is impossible to attainÂ
For it all to have been in vainÂ
Yet they went through all that painÂ
with nothing to gainÂ
Could you adults care to explain?Â
The point of this constant strainÂ
Is there something wrong with my brain?Â
For something to be so normal yet inhumane
Is it weird for kids to constantly complain?Â
In the end only dolls will remainÂ
The plain and the mundaneÂ
all died trying to become oneÂ
Where are all the kids? There are none

I couldn’t quite find the right tags (like Media and Social media) but hopefully the message got across anyways ^^
You have portrayed this message perfectly.Â
This is an exact reflection of how society has come to be over the past few years - I can only imagine the next 20.Â
It's a sad sight to see - the world had so much potential to be better than ever before and we have all kinda messed it up haven't we? xÂ
I’m glad you enjoyed it, thank you
