Don't Block My Exit (Part 2)

Don't Block My Exit (Part 2)

For days all we did was walk

We didn't smile, laugh or even talk

The atmosphere had never felt so cold

Little comfort was to be found

In the deep freezers

That became our souls

And our minds became

Broken tape players

Where the horrid scene played over

And over again as if it was the

Only repentance there was

For what we had done

And on the last day

We saw his ghost

Who lured us to a cliffs edge

We smiled

It never spoke yet urged us with fledge

We looked out into the sunset

And let the wind take us to

Apologize to he who was

Waiting just over the horizon

~(I'm open to alternatives so let me know)

Curious
