Poem -

Disillusion.

He's been strolling the earth for a few decades now
And what a wondrous journey it's been,
From the carefree days of his wonderful youth,
He now lives in a world that's obscene.
From reactionary politics that leaves voters cold
To the fucked up media, and all in between;
It's hard to relate to a world filled with hate
And this is not the life of which he did dream.

When 'talent' is dubious and 'creativity' fake
And 'standards' have reached a new low,
Experience seems worthless, his peer group are churlish,
So he asks youΒ  - where does a guy go...?
The whole system is rotten from the top to the bottom,
And it seems this is just what we've got..
But is he the only old fart who is losing the heart
To take part in something that he is most certainly not?
