Don´t go into the Sea

Once your body pierces the Sea´s surface
Breaking her serene form
Her welcoming acts more as a warning
Foreboding storm
Stealing your breath with her coldest caress
The Sea scares off most from her depths
People swim up to catch their breaths
But not me
Patiently, I wait
for her grasp to milden
A struggling worm is no less of bait
No closer to changing its fate
And my patience always rewards me
The Sea eventually tires
and looses her fingers around my neck
Strangling no longer, but gently stroking
and ceases to wreck
My crushed lungs freed, I sigh
and let the Sea envelop me in her embrace
Sinking deeper into my quiet space
My safe place
Where I can fly
While the Sea is loving, while the Sea is gentle
She wants to consume
While the Sea is caring, while the Sea is parental
I must leave her in the end
before she drags me to the bottom of her womb
So I regretfully ascend
I´ll be back soon, my friend

Hello SG,
I really enjoyed reading this.
"My crushed lungs freed, I sigh
and let the Sea envelop me in her embrace
Sinking deeper into my quiet space
My safe place
Where I can fly"
although this reads quite dark, there is a serene sensation to it also. A sense of freedom felt. Wonderfully vivid. Beautiful use of colour in the art work also
Thanks for sharing
