Dragon

Dragon

I saw in father, sadist arose,
Horrid beast reared keen paw.
Glossy eyes spitfire, oppose,
Child petrified in awe.

Tainted breath, tobacco ash,
Large talons heavily descend.
Anticipating, verbal backlash
Fervent prayer, who will defend?

What'd I do to warrant his wrath?
Blows scathe lasting tracks.
Brutal marks made grisly path,
Scars you can't take back.

Now I’m, crowned crusader,
Dispatcher of abuse.
Deemed heroic slayer,
Assaulting others, nary excuse.

Stand your ground, my sweet,
Present another cheek.
Insipid bully descries defeat,
Villain, tis entity weak
