The Dreadful Truth

I feel that I am being watched, followed by heavy footsteps

Dark in the alleys, I can hear deep breathing, as the fog creeps in

It is so thick and heavy, I can not see in front of me any longer

Thunder in the far distance, just a glimpse of a full moon among the clouds

Where am I going? I have suddenly lost my direction, everything is a deep purple

My heart is pounding, I am shivering inside and out, as my stomach gurgles

I find a tree, and I stand soak and wet below a broken branch

Then suddenly, the dreadful truth, unleashes behind me

Covers, my mouth, with a giant filthy hand, and I grab my chest

I can not scream out, a knife appears from the other side of my chin

Blood flows from my slit throat, and my body weakens to the wet grass

I gasp for the last breath of air, as I am swimming in the killers sin
