Poem -

Dreamer

When I close my eyes at night, I truly drift into the sky.
I pick a star oh so bright, it never leaves my sight.
Then I dream a dream a dreamer might, and in this world I'm alright.
I drift away to never land, and I never want to come on back.
I look down and I see me there, laying in my underwear.

From the sky I begin to fall, I'm a shooting star after all.
My eyes they open one more time, and slowly I begin to cry.
My mom and dad are sitting there, in the nurses comfy chair.
My bones are showing and I have no hair, the tubes are
Running everywhere, So if you really say you care,
Let me go home now Lord I am scared.
