Dying... Trying... PR

I don’t know how to get out
I’m gonna die right here, no doubt
But if I could flee
And just be free
I’d show you what it's all about.
 
You should have faith in your fellow man
And help him in any way you can
Do the right thing
Offer all you can bring
Do your best; accept nothing less than.
 
It’s been said the people are lazy
But the facts are unclear and hazy
I’ve seen some try
While others sit and cry
But blaming the government’s just crazy!
 
There are a lot of officials on site
They are trying with all their might
To do all they can
To follow the plan
To make everything turn out all right.

But the people all need to assist
And don’t let the pretense persist
That no one cares
For your affairs
Or that your plight has been dismissed.
 
The media just loves to blame
Anything to stoke the flame
Of discontent
That they invent
And they’ll lie to support their claim.
 
The U.S. is here in your time or need
Together with you in action and deed
Although not a state
There’s no debate
Puerto Rico is American by creed.
 
But it’s important to pull your own weight
And be responsible for your own fate
Don’t let anyone say
There came a day
Your integrity was up for debate
 
The storm has trapped me here
I’m probably never gonna leave this pier
But if I could
I certainly would
Help anyone that is near.
 
But this dock has fallen on me
I’m gonna drown in the rising sea
But before I go
I want you to know
That President Trump and I agree.
