Poem -

Dying wish

It's not the end all that I fear,

It's that the end will happen here,

Without a friend to share in laughter,

To bring me one last final cheer,

As the darkness reaches near,

This season marks my final year,

Without the embrace of my kin,

My ship has reached life's final pier

I've grabbed ahold the horns of steer,

I've climbed the rocks and cliff of sheer,

I'll fight the fading of this light,

For fear that It may disappear,

Far from home my eyes would peer,

The urge to leave became so clear,

And as I left them all behind,

The cries to stay I could not hear,

It's not the end all that I fear,

It's that the end will happen here,

Just one request before I die,

I wish to have my love ones near.
