EARLY

EARLY

The early bird catches the worm, smarten up brother,
you don't want to be caught out by another 'mother',
I'm taking early retirement, enough told what to do,
what a relief, no more worry about rear of the queue.

Things to do, asked the fancy hotel for an early call,
although at 4.00am in the morning I was hysterical;
my mother said that I was an early arrival so long,
I just couldn't wait to come out and what a carry-on.

Sent off the field for bad behaviour, so an ealy bath,
remonstrated, I saidĀ  that you must be having a laugh;
I had a premature sign of baldness, it began to drift,
but i was not fazed and realised it was an early shift.

Yawning was an early sign and tiredness began to bite,
gay Ivanhoe relented, said he felt like an early knight.
