Earth Physics

- Big bang in brain or else

Earth Physics

Do I like computer simulations? Yes I do, but not the sort as shown in the image which was a cut from the Metro tabloid. By Yiyan Han (c) 2018-01-05.

O, computers
Please tell us why the Moon
is shy not to show the other side of her pretty face
also the reasons for perfect ratios
of diameters and distances
of the Moon to the Earth to the Sun

If a computer could do simulations
more than 2 trillion times
one would then explain the origin of universe
perhaps
in one's dreams

The more of looking
deep into the universe
the more shock and awed by God's hands
The theory of Big Bang
O, yes
I hear a brain has just exploded
bang bang bang

5 stars for your poem, Yiyan! It has got me thinking on perfect ratios etc. Perfect is something only ever decided by us. I don't know how the universe came to be. I have no idea how our planet came to be. I do often wonder what caused such a big bang. You can't get something from nothing.  I don't think the world was ever created by God. And in a week? Nah! But however the world was created we are here. And we are here because we evolved on this wonderful planet. The planet itself is our creator (sharp intake of breath) There!..I said it!  If god made us, then God is Gaia. And this makes perfect sense to me. Still don't know about ratios though x

Thank you, B.E., for your interest. So far no scientist can challenge the two questions mentioned in this poem - of course these two important facts have been discovered by scientific observations, not by me ;)

Big Bang is just a man made theory which seems to be crazy! Hence many brains have been exploded. Science can describe a lot things, but fundamentally there is long long long way to go. What is the ultimate truth? God, nothing else.

There are far too many interpretations who the God is, and I don't have comment nor answer:

o God == Good

You know Tina...bloody good point...perfect is only ever decided by us! Exactly. You see, I have always thought that while mankind keeps searching for answers only relative to his own existence we will not find answers. IE/ if aliens exist they must fit our criteria of what it is to exist in any real sense...ie/ two.arms a head etc....that is our blindness and mistake I think...anyway, ramble over and it's not even your page but I had to comment on your fantastic point X

You are welcome to ramble as you wish, Marion. I do like B.E.'s point though no answer to my two questions in the poem :)

Except the planet came from.somewhere?? Right now it's 8.50 on a Monday morning and my head is not up to this...lol. we came from the stars physically and spiritually is my answer. Did you know all the metals gold etc are actually created when stars implode..every cell in our bodies originated in the Cosmo originally,( or all the gasses needed to allow life to evolve)then the earth( Gaia)  did the rest. I can't give you the details I'm not a physicist and I wasnt there 🤩but Prof Brian Cox said( my hero) so it must be true 🤩🤗🤗

"Prof Brian Cox said( my hero) so it must be true" - so this is your religion then? ;)) Thought he was the guy who sent something into sky into nowhere - a huge loss of money sometime ago, right?

Hi Yiyan...I know nothing of things going into the sky. I am referring to his televised programmes of which he has made several...'the planets' being my favourite. Regardless what YOU think of the man my friend, he is a professor in physics and knows his stuff...he has also brought the wonders of the universe to the little man in a language that WE understand. I love his programmes, the fact he is gorgeous also has nothing to do with it. 😆 Seriously he is the David Attenborough of the cosmos...don't dis him please 😊😊

Aha, Marion, here is a thing as we'll have our limitation Ha ha ha. Was just saying I don't treat any human's words as if the ultimate truth ;)) Please don't get upset with my comment on your "secret lover of science".

How could I get upset with your forthright comments I love them..I agree...we shouldn't take the words of humans as the ultimate truth because that would be silly Yiyan, luckily we have the images from the amazing Hubble and Cassini for further proof. If you are interested in the Cosmo...'the planets' is an awesome insight ....BBC iPlayer X

Marion...Professor Brian Cox knows his stuff!  I love watching his programmes. He is awesome. And yes, we are of the stars, my friend. I agree wholeheartedly with your comments. Just saying  x

You know what Tina...he really has brought it to the little man hadsn't he?? He explains it all in simple terms, I have learned so much from that man and also...he is a pure soul...I think his programmes are amazing, thankyou for coming to his rescue ..and mine lol...😆😆🤩X

Think you two "soulmates" have ignored my point that one of the space projects under his leadership had wasted a lot taxpayers' money for nothing, if my memory is correct. I didn't comment on his science knowledge, did I. You're doing your best to cover each other here. What fun to watch you two! Ha ha ha.

Yiyan your comment is offensive. This is a poetry site and we were kind enough to comment on.your work. Who we admire or don't admire is not your business we were both commenting in relation to what you had written ok. We don't have to answer questions and if you don't want opinions dont post ok.

Yiyan...Your comment was offensive. You did much more than state a fact. Read your comment again.

Yiyan...important things have to be tried. Sometimes they work, sometimes they need to try again. It wasnt a failure it was a lesson learned and any lesson learned is worth the money spent on doing so. That's my opinion x

Wow Yiyan. I love this! As soon as I saw the title I knew it was gona be good! And it is!! A little science and the universe pondering in 3 great verses!!
The big bang is still a theory. We dont actually know the truth. Sometimes science cant answer things. It just is...we the earth just happens to be at the right distance, right time, right everything to hold life!! We are unique.
I only wish the human society would take care of it cos earth dont need us. We need earth more. Look you got me off waffling now that you begun this topic!! Excellent write. Sssssooooo pinned! Px💜

Good waffling, and good thoughts from you, Pratibha! and thank you for comments. I have quite reasonable scientific training, and I do love science which is necessary for technology advance and daily life. That's probably about it.

Hello YIYAN!
It's so great to know that you are taking time to consider THESE...the largest questions that reality has to offer......The "Big Bang" and Who? or What? created US and/or The UNIVERSE itself......we do know that it all sprang up from some "Primordial Singularity" but we can't see beyond that....which is where ideas like GOD sprang from originally!!.....Anyway, a very compelling write my friend!!......ALL STARS!!...well done dear poet brother.....LOVE & ROCKETS!!..................T xo   : )

Yeah, Tony, this piece of short report on paper was read while I was commuting! The fundamental question is what is "Primordial Singularity". The question on universe is so huge and yet is so simple if one believes God.

Technical questions about multi-universes, parallel universes, and non-linear time-space, ... these just keep scientists busy and also give them jobs as well :)

Jim "The Lad" ....

I'll just throw in my 2cents..One of our Apostles maid a statement that I am going mis quote I'm sure, but he said something along the lines of an explosion of letters created a dictionary? anyway that's my vibe as Max would say....................Jim

Awww Jim, "an explosion of letters created a dictionary" is a good one, and then where the explosion was from - that needs answer. One can't just say - oh well you know ... Ha ha ha.
