Poem -

Emerald Eyes

As I stare into those big green eyes
I see darkness
I see pain
In those sad, sad eyes
Whether it is reality or just
My imagination
That is writhing
And squirming
Just to be heard
Only to be turned away
In a fit of misunderstanding
We are all misunderstood
But we all feel unique
And as I sink into those emerald tombstones
I stand with one foot outside your grave
To stand
To have to wait
For your death
And hope
That I can be there
To comfort you in you last moments
I have to live
Knowing i will be there
Or i won’t even know
I will open the door
Only to find
That those black holes of eyes
Eyes that held hope and faith
In me
Are closed
Forever closed
And when i cry
My eyes
Will be wide open
