Emotions

The emotions come and go like waves on a beach.

The emotions wash over me like water over sand.

Taking a little bit of me with it in every wave,

slowly over time, taking all that I am.

soon the emotiosn will grow, making bigger waves.

coming higher and faster than before, taking more and more.

Leaving me hopelessly trying to gain myself back.

The emotions are strong,

They win every time.

Today it's like a storm.

They've come in high and fast.

Crashing down on me, taking most of me away at once.

Emotions are my worst nightmare.

They scare me every time they come.

I never know just what thoughts might win.

I never know what emotions I'm going to have to deal with.

I never know just how much of me i'm going to lose that day.

I just never know what my nightmares hold.
