Poem -

No Longer A Rock

No longer a rock.

-  you can see the bones in her hands.
You can see the hollow pockets under her eyes.
You can feel her crack giving her the softest embrace.
You can hear her bones grind as she moves.
You see she can no longer focus,
She stares off into space, looking right through you like you aren't even there.
You can see her skin moulded to her jaw line and sunken in her cheeks.
You can count every rib giving her the only shape she has left.
You can see where her hair has turned dry and gray.
Her lips turned blue and her finger tips too.
You can see her heart beat as if it were laying there on her chest.
You see her breathe as if it's going to be the last breath.
You can see a fragile human, as breakable as glass.
You no longer see her,
But as you stare at what's left,
You realize she's no longer a rock but a thin blade of grass.
