Empty

Empty

Is it the moon you seek, fool?
Alas, tis mangata in a pool.
Idle splendor, see it slips.
Through dripping fingertips

A glow is glorious but vain,
An orb recedes, illusions remain.
An allure is a superficial vice,
Romances fateful entice.

Silly water deifies a path,
Ebbing tides led by wrath.
Are you like an insipid sea?
Enthralled by her beauty?

Craving only skin deep,
Is that why you weep?
Envying an enchanted night
Charms fade by dawn's light

Reclaiming a myth at dusk,
Though Luna, a hollow husk.
It but a lavish token be,
A heart and soul are empty.

Spectacularly fashioned, Poetess! You've unveiled the negative truth, all too abundant in this world, where shallow desires are rightly met by the evanescent woes.
