Dust on the window ledge,
cob webs, coward behind my door,
these are some, of the unspoken accolades,
since I slid across this floor.
Sitting near the window,
faced to bare,
just what old memories,
take claim to hold,
for these days, not to many,
have I paid my acquaintance,
like that pillow, a story to be told.
I once held host to sorrow,
even through prominent dignitaries,
pulled out a chair,
once even paid honor to our (God),
by seating heavenly missionaries,
not just one but blessed a pair....
Although now I patiently sit here,
vacant and with a view outside,
made appeasingly to live for,
I'm stuck inside, near a table or bed,
I oblige, the willing to live and those,
who can't, go on, any more,
How can I cast blame on my own surroundings,
when I myself, no longer value old fame.
In my day, medical and miracles, were at play
but now I (set) seat, to shame..............To be continued

wow! Jimmy Arnold! The man, the poet the legend, I still remember writing a poem about you in a library in Edmonton, Alberta Canada, over three years now, your comments and poems are epic, the one you wrote about the city, I'm still trying to figure out how you constructed it, inspirational....I like this one a whole lot, my friend, you can make a description of flour sound beautiful, really good to see you, hope you stick around for a while, cheers
Chris my brother and friend,
Your iconic image speaks for itself, even without having to read your powerful publications in poetry and highly praised, (point to be taken and to learn from) comments. Your iconas well as the persona,(of you the poet), always reminded me of (Jim Morrison or Kurt Cobain) my friend, free willed and always loved life to the fullest..You are one of the main reasons i resided on this site Chris, the way you presented your works, the praise you paid to all,(new are seasoned poet/poetess), you had nothing but a series of kind words, (not to lend but to give), without compromising the the inserted efforts and passions, placed forward, by the (poetically) determined recipient. Getting back to the man and his works, must say right now, you top my list of poets on this site and your poems flow as fluently from the pages,(while reading), as they do from the tongue of the spoken dictator. Truly do i enjoy your many styles of writes my friend and in all honesty, really missed the readings...Flower Girl, Nardine S.,Cherie, Shirley P., Shah, Keisha, Susan,Tracy,Tony Taylor definitely Williamji and many other poets and poetess writings, have I been lagging and need to get back into their readings....Proud as hell of you partner and the pleasure will always be mine, when we chat.......Take Care dear friend and as always, appreciate the compelling comment...
Jim
Hi Jimmy....was compelled to read this after reading flower Girl's "Two Empty Chairs." It's very touching. Don't know the challenges you've been through. But I can see that you've been through a lot. You're a strong fellow. The Lord strengthens you! Looking forward to reading the second part.
Peace & Love
Rose
Hi Rose,
Thank you for the read Rose and just a bout of (trials) to overcome, we all have them, some a little more trying than others but life is to short to lay down and just let it pass us by not allowing ourselves to place a side the things we love to do most and the people whom we claim to cast our love upon....I enjoy this site and to do i, its highly caring and close collaboration, of poets/poetess and artist, which now includes you as well my friend. You didn't have to read this poem but you did, sharing through your much appreciated by me comment. The practice you so passionately preached,(within your wish), for a better world...The cycle started with you...Thanks again Jimmy
Jimmy, my friend, you teach a wonderful goodness through your poetry, you are a man who is not afraid to stand up and face adversity, look it in the eye and not be intimidated by it. You are a strong man, Jimmy, and loved by many. You are a truly inspiring man.
Hey Thanks King (Bee),
Wow Flowers! to be acknowledged by your other half the (Bee), is like being the "Pooh" bear being blessed with a full jar of honey, rather then stealing it from the hive, of hard at work working bees the king, and queen of the the nest. I,(instead of being pestered by the creators of this sacred nectar), feel blessed by the head honcho,(The Bee) and the Flower,(Flower Girl), from which it derived...Thank you my friend (the Bee),and it is astonishing, how comments could have such a positive bearing, on a full day of disappointment and unsurity on whats to come, such as they do but this one, (just like all the others rendered from poets and poetess), on this site does just that.. To (the Bee) and his keeper (the Flower), i am socially glad we met and that you two, met here and continue to go on strong then ever and remains in full affect...You two have a powerful love my friends, what many would consider a remarkably, unselfish, sharing and constantly giving relationship, that will never loose its value...Just as my friendship, you two will always have a place in my heart, that will never be replaced by any..You have a open heart (Bee), bigger than all out doors my friend, .....Thank you immensely and (please), never allow it to close....Jim
Appreciate the nomination, (Cosmo Crew),,,,Jim
LOve your poems thank you for sharing. Keep writing you truly have a passion.
Thank you Brigitte,Your words resonate immensely. and quite loud and i am much appreciative...Jim
lovely pen you wield Jim!
Trying to catch back up with you folks, Poetess(Lisa), your poems my friend, are fluently inspiring......Jim
Oh my goodness JIMMY......I can't believe this one almost got by me......I feel so fortunate to have come on at the right time....... you have moved me so many times...... and by the amazing response you've gotten here..... I'm sure it's no surprise to hear how happy I am just to see you here.....I recall the piece you did many a moon ago on the Veterans Administration that completely blew my mind and made me a forever fan....... but the sadness conveyed here is mesmerizing... in that it comes from SIR ARNOLD himself........ you mean so much to so many of us........ you showed me what a "real" comment was when I first arrived and are one of the reasons that I remained here........I have to say it's just an honor to have been able to catch this piece...... and to let you know how much I miss you brother poet!!....... wishing you all the best my friend...... and hoping to see much more of you around the pages!!....... your friend and admirer.......T xo. ?
Mercy Jim-This poem......well it evokes an emotional pull far beyond words. Wonderful skill you have of creating vivid pictures in the mind of the reader! I really enjoyed reading this one......for reasons deep within my heart. Thank you. Hoping the week ahead is inspired!........for both of us! : ) Paula
