Entitlement

Entitlement

What do you think that you deserve - recognition?
there is no guarantee, lucky you're not judged by me;
my wife was on the jury - one defendant was hung,
the other she gave one hundred years in prison.

In the absence of a judge, she had taken over,
to my chagrin, more of a fighter than a lover;
don't mention 'woke,' you may be entitled to nothing,
especially race or of dubious sexual orientation.

The good will be rewarded and the bad cast aside,
really too simplistic for words - that's all I have,
to rent the literary air and take your heart away,
where do broken hearts go - can they find their way home.

So just count your blessings, time's running out coz
anything extra that you may receive will be a bonus,

There was one phrase in this that screamed at me Terry, probably for different reasons that you intended
'where do broken hearts go _ can they find their way home'
I really truly hope so...I'm counting on it
Hugs x

Hi Marion,
Thanks so much.
The 'broken heart' line' is from Whitney's song.
Some of these lines are really worth re-using,
like 'Words are all I have.'
Love and hugs,
Terry.
