Poem -

Ernest

My dear little chap, he lay fair and true,
Content was he, among the cooling dew.
Replete with all the morning sun,
Complete with all the simple fun.
Without a trace of care or disbelief,
He tussled merrily with his beloved leaf.

Thank you. I wrote it about our dog we got a month ago.
It fascinates me how humans often seek complex pleasures in life, while animals/pets find contentment from the simplest of things. x
