Ever Decreasing Circles

Day-dreamy thoughts drowned by the sound of rain, voices in my head silenced into submission –

As, I listen to the drip, dripping, off the roof, I watch the streaks slithering down the windowpane –

The deep abyssal puddles inside my mind are a kaleidoscope pattern of ever decreasing circles –

Dizziness ensued, filling my inner oasis with reflections of watered down memories of a past life –

All the rain, from all the lakes and oceans, could never quench the thirst, that is the desert of my soul –
