Perfect oblivion

Perfect oblivion

I wanted so much to disappearΒ
To become the blank wall behind me
So completely void of humanenessΒ
That no one could ever touch or see

Nothing to feel but emptinessΒ
Emotions flatlined to nil
No memories of all my yesterdays
No longer forced a bitter pill

A whiteness to match the tundraΒ
Of snow after snow after snow
That blinds my eyes so; no
tears can neither fall nor flow

My soul teetering on the edge
Of cracked lips, silencing breathΒ
The iron sky of winter chills into
Perfect Oblivion so nothing is left
