Poem -

Extra Terrestrial Love Song

Oh she was gorgeous, enflaming, enthralling,

Love at first sight as the sun makes the day,

Naturally native to Nature's true calling,

(Be fruitful and soon you'll conceive a new way).

 *

Oh I was bored with my planet of plenty,

Oh how I could burn all that nonsense to ash,

Instinctively stinking and static and empty,

(Be true to your treasures though treasures be trash).

*

I'd hidden my body in bandage of living,

Life was a momentary madness of mind,

Repairing and pairing and ever forgiving,

(Be like a doctor and try to be kind).

 *

What kind of disease was it I had gotten?

I but a man with a desire to love,

But loving and living like this was so rotten,

(Be as I be and you'd be God above).

*

No woman of earth e'er met my meaning,

I'm not understood I would plaintively cry,

Though feminine fish are forever teeming,

(Be as a fisher and fish with a fly).

*

Oh she did catch me did net me a flutter,

Beautiful creature from far far away,

Melted and managed me like pat of butter,

(Be as a Butterfly - utterly prey).

*

She was a star beam bright borealis,

An alien goddess - fertile and free;

Oh how she hurt me strange for a first kiss,

(Be understanding, this happened to me!)

*

I who could love like a nova of nerve ends,

But not on my planet of home grown dust,

I who aspired to spiritual serve-ends,

(Be not afraid of the low trade of lust).

*

Love at first thought my feelings all sinking,

Vertigo vortex - voraciously vine,

Love's gentle tendrils sucking and drinking,

(Be as the grape that is crushed to be wine).

*

We scattered our flames inside of our ashes,

Hers were so golden so beamingly bright,

Oh how a young man gloats at these clashes,

(Be still when you glow in a bliss made of light).

*

Immortal and mortal the altar so ghastly,

Sacrifice succulence -  mortify meat,

Consider your hands and your faces so vastly,

(Be not your heart dear be your heart beat).

*

Playing a music of motions and blendings,

Sweating out stars in our frolicsome play,

Starting with circles with conjugate endings,

(Be not amused for each dog has its day!).
