Raven Free Me From The Eyes of Death

Raven Free Me From The Eyes of Death

Running through the fields, scared out of my wits

I feel the hands getting nearer, his feet drawing closer

His breath I can smell and hear it's deep rattle

From the hallows of the night, the raven flies over

Trying to warn me of his coming, but I will never make it

For the Demon of the night of the living dead  he craves

I can't keep up my heart is at such a race it feels like it could break

Now here I am fighting mad to get away, his drooling horrid face

Makes my skin crawl, now further into the fields, I stumble over and fall

I have fallen onto a pile of death forsaken, all the corpses piled high

Each one of them with their eyes picked out by the crows and the rats

To my moments of silence, I pray to the great one above, then suddenly

I am rescued by the giant raven above, his black glossy coat, his eyes magnify

I have just been released from the devil's keep, now he will take me away, I sigh

As the raven keeps me safe, the dark fields still cry, for the night of the dead

Is yet to be red, he will finish his task, with his vital bloody mask, attack

Let the raven of the night lift you up from the eyes of death
