Are the window to the soul

Thousand within a past 

They carry of the story untold 

Where love and pain become one in the same

So much pain you have to turn away from those eyes 

The coldness from their haunting gaze

Reminds them of their inner demons they can't escape 

That torments the mind suffocating in their sadness 

Pain so excruciating then blinded by tears they can't hide 

So misery is the emptiness feeling that all hope is lost 

Those windows are dark and black 

Their soul was broken leaving them shattered 

Holding the soul with a battered past

The eyes never lie they hold the truth 

That the soul tries to hide

And deny the scars and painfull past

That their eyes hold the shackled remnants reveals the story within the window to the soul of dark sorrows.
