Fabricated Friendship

Fabricated Friendship

Having a talk face to face and eye to eye
Why the hell do you feel the need to lie
Can you not help yourself from this curse
The truth is bad enough but a lie is so much worse
Why is it so hard for you to just be straight
Makes me not want to turn to you to communicate
You call yourself my friend I'm so sorry to hear
I don't see you that way when your truth is so unclear
A true friend would always be honest no matter what
Especially in this world filled with all this smut
Truth is forever but a lie is only a matter of time
You're just adding to the pain of this world filled with crime
When does all this deceitfulness come to an end
Never would I have known it would come from a friend
Of course the truth will always prevail
And a fabricated friendship will always fail
