Poem -

face yourself...

face yourself...

for this heart is on her last beat. . . let go
and this body growing weaker and meeker
caught in this battle with time and reality
ever slipping through my weakened grasp. . . let go

yesterday, I seem to forget as today continues
on a slippery slope, Dear Lord, I can barely cope
up above with you is where I want to be. . . let go
raise me higher, nothing more that I desire. . . let go
such wonder you have given me here; but I'm ready
eternal life, immortal wife and everlasting love
like the white dove, I am released. Flying free
for the very first time. . . I’m ready to let go
.
.
.
