I see faces

In strange places

In the mountains

By a roadside

On a tree

Yes I see faces

In different places

Do you? Or is it

Only me?

Someone I know commented

That I was “quite demented

And I should see a doctor

Right away!”

I refute that

And absolutely, resolutely,

Heart and soul,

Dispute that!

There are scientific reasons

Why millions of people

Are seeing face-like objects

Just like me!

I’m no anorak or maniac

Or sad sack who needs a smack

To get his brain back on track

But more of a crackerjack

Who’s taken a bit of flack

For being someone who is called –

A pareidoliac!

So,

If you don’t mind,

If –

I see faces

In strange places

On a hillside

In a forest

On a rock

Lots of faces

In different places

Like it or lump it 

But don’t mock!
