Poem -

Faded Hues by Jude Kyrie

My painting has altered in its aged vigil.
Hiding now in the darkness of a shadowed wall.
Once its colors were brash and vivid.
They sang the joys of youth.

But time has faded the artist palette.
Muted now in the waning colors.
Sitting familiar and unnoticed
On the dusty halls of time.

It weeps in a deserted sky
Like the seagull's cry
On a becalmed sea.
I am but a passing cloud
Absorbed in the endless skies.

See my lightness
The paleness of my hues
and translucency.

Look at my picture my love
I am here inside the watercolors
And the faded antique papers.
Ravaged by the cracks of time.
