Faded Hues by Jude Kyrie

My painting has altered in its aged vigil.Â
Hiding now in the darkness of a shadowed wall.Â
Once its colors were brash and vivid.
They sang the joys of youth.Â
But time has faded the artist palette.
Muted now in the waning colors.
Sitting familiar and unnoticedÂ
On the dusty halls of time.Â
It weeps in a deserted skyÂ
Like the seagull's cryÂ
On a becalmed sea.Â
I am but a passing cloudÂ
Absorbed in the endless skies.
Â
See my lightnessÂ
The paleness of my huesÂ
and translucency.
Look at my picture my loveÂ
I am here inside the watercolorsÂ
And the faded antique papers.
Ravaged by the cracks of time.Â
