Fairy Tales Can Come True

We all have dreams and aspirations, for a Fairy Tale to come true;
I knew that mine had been answered, the night that I met you!
All my life I had wished for, a woman of my most ardent dreams;
I began to doubt I’d ever find her, they all had slipped right through the seams!

But one night, a bright star led me, to be standing by your side;
I’d been separated from a dance partner, her name I loudly cried!
I scared your little socks off, for “Linda”, was too her given name;
I looked at you and apologized, but my life would never be the same!

Moments later, I came back and asked you, “Please come and dance with me”;
You said “yes”, and we fell into each other’s arms, the rest is history!
This night proved that Fairy Tales, really can come true;
For now, a quarter plus century later, we still each other woo!
