Fall

Like dust floating in sunlit glades
I fall
slowly, endlessly falling
over and over
just as thoughts that glide in my mind
spill from my lips in silence.
Unspoken.
You trespass in my dreams and
morning footprints tumble
languidly into oceans deep.
Washed away
Erased.
Like feathers caught on trees
only to be freed on the breeze
I sail in the sky
as breath in winter air.
Sometimes,
I wonder what it would be like
in your arms
high on love
fluent in intimacy
To taste
Coffee’ d lips.
But still I sway and whirl
that has no end at all
nowhere to land
just space between us
and no one to catch me
fall.
