Fall Of Camellia

An aphid blight afflicts the skinΒ
Of layers buried in a winter's plight
Too damaged to unfurl the memory
Or spring from the fear of a dying light
I was the calyx
In which your heart was held
Until the petals tore
And together we fell
But when I endeavoured to follow
Your soul was swept
In the wind with the promise
To be one again
Error clips the fern
To unveil a decrepit willow tree
As dew drips for the amor I yearn
Along the window of every dream
And I hereby indite this vale
In the blood of a broken heart
With hope you'll hearken to my every word
And will return to me at last
For every quean compeer I kissed
And stripped of libidinous raiment
On nights of unbridled chambers
Could not ever compare
To you my fair femina
For you I fawn at death's door
Perchance the glim will swiftly flicker
Before I sprawl out upon this floor
