Falling Inevitable

Out of respect
and a sense
of historical context
we stuck to the plan...  

The ending was a chapter
none of us did expect
when this all began...

Though in retrospect
it was quite obvious
all along
we were married
to an antiquated concept
that in the end
was never meant to last
