False Promises

False Promises

You told me to come
I was already there
You said you had a place for me
With Lots to see and share
You never phoned my number
Never gave a chance
I know you told me so
Come on let’s dance

Making false promises
Years pass us by
No help for no one
There is no reply
False promises
Eat away at me
In the night
You promised me the world
Days pass me by
Shouldn’t have said what you said
It turned out to be a lie

If you know where we stand
If you ever knew me at all
You would know where I am
Make that call
Never Speak to another
On behalf of me
You wouldn’t say today
What tomorrow will never be
The ending is with you
Beginning with me
Carry out the promises
That you left with me
