Far More…

Far more punchesĀ
have I taken,
on this welcoming chin,
than I haveĀ ever thrown
or delivered.

Far more hearts
have I broken,Ā
with this welcoming charm,
than I have ever healedĀ
or fixed.

Far more nightsĀ
have I spent,
with this welcoming pain,
than I have ever slept
in peace.Ā

Far more times
have I regretted,
with this welcoming admittance,Ā
than I have ever spent
feeling proud.

So I simply ask you Lord, for my forgiveness, I cannot do this alone, I need you close.
