Fear Is What Compliments Reality

With clear eyes and clear view,
I find myself naked next to the siren that I call my muse
As our bodies lay bare in this solemn moment of infatuation,
I can't help but envy the beauty that's bestowed upon me

Caught between the conflictions of lust and aspire,
I drown myself with rapid thoughts of what is and what could be
For the first time in a long time, I feel fear
Fear of oneself and acknowledgement of my capabilities

But then the sudden urge changes as I shift my thoughts
Allowing the aura of energy from the delicate inamorata to convict my thoughts into submission,
I can see that she can see me naked, the man behind the mask
And to what she sees, she smiles with illumination

For once, I've broken the chains that lead me to question why
Instead, I pull her tighter, allowing my thoughts to humble,
"Someone who's willing to drown with you creates a situation where you no longer want to drown"
To what a beautiful find I have found
