“Flapdoodle Flummadiddle” 🎼🎼🎼

What is the meaning of ‘Flapdoodle flummadiddle ?’

Coz when I saw an Irish Leprechaun sitting strumming on his little fiddle

“Mercy me” my pet dog almost squashed him as he was squatting on his hind legs taking a piddle

But suddenly I heard him singing those very words in amongst a field of four leaf clusters of clovers, sat right up to his very middle..
                                ~
“Flapdoodle flummadiddle” he sang this over and over, as the yellow buttercups and white daisies were shining betwixt and between that gorgeous green, glossy clover

And I passed a polite  “Good morning” he told me he was an old Irish rover

He was on his merry way taking a trip across the English channel catching a ferry down at Dover

Well Of course with his strong  northern Irish accent from Ballycarrickmaddy I was completely bowled over...

That Leprechaun was so charming I really have to say

With his melodious violin he totally blew me away

Yet when we parted after chatting ages on that lovely Summer’s day
