Flight
See you soon Cosmo
Maybe I’m just Berserk-zerk.
Maybe I’m too uptight-alright.
Maybe I’ve been trying to call your number girl.
I hit all these traffic cones when I try.
Maybe I’ll just kick it to the curb, nerves.
Maybe just catch my flight – “Goodbye!”
Maybe I’m running out my tongue.
These truths all intertwine.
These trees that fall in thick forests.
They are never heard.
But I can’t picture my posture of my views.
When I do return.
I’ll see you another time.
It seems for far away from here.
Not nearly far enough.
So if I still have toes and ears.
I’ll run
I’ll run.
All night.
Through these desert storms.
And these hidden cities.
It’s time to discover myself.
Through foreign lands.
