Floral Reign

Me thinks beloved, of floral rain,
ComeΒ swiftly thy devout refrain.
Serenade me, sultry heat,
Shower blossoms discreet.
Lyrical verse eloquent inspire,
Relinquished I quave respire.
Juxtapose me, a fragrance fair,
Naught other canst compare.
Inhaling allure of poetic bouquet,
Cherished always lyrics thou say.
A whimsical quill, melodious poem,
Bestow me, and garden gnome.
Softly words, quicken mine heart,
Imbuing lustful ardent dart.
Lover, meet secretly by garden stair,
Thine bloom shall await thee there.
Find solace in a vow of this,
I shall bestow a chaste kiss.
Lips sweet as a nosegay of rose,
Sweeter still, muses of prose.

Now THIS is the type of mellifluous verse I wish I could write rather than old stodgyΒ Β knock-around poems and country music lyrics.Β This is a good place to be even if a bit intimidating.Β By the way, wonderful job on "Floral Reign" and thanks for the comment.Β Such niceties keeps a guy plucking along.Β
Thank you kindly David
How beautifully, elegantly, romantically put, words of ancient time, before man lost mind.Β
You are a fresh breeze, waking us up to nature's expression. Thank you so much for sharing.
